- Conduct polygraph examinations on applicants, employees, and suspects in accordance with department policies and procedures.
- Supervise and train a team of polygraph examiners, ensuring all examinations are conducted accurately and ethically.
- Maintain accurate records of all polygraph examinations and related documentation.
- Work closely with other law enforcement agencies and departments to coordinate and assist with investigations.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest techniques and technology in the field of polygraphy.
- Implement and enforce department policies and procedures related to polygraph examinations.
- Act as a liaison between the department and other agencies, providing expert knowledge and advice on polygraph matters.
- Assist in the development and implementation of training programs for department personnel on polygraphy.
- Conduct periodic audits to ensure compliance with department and industry standards.
- Provide expert testimony in court cases regarding polygraph examinations.
- Foster a positive and inclusive work environment and promote teamwork among department personnel.
- Continuously evaluate and improve the department's polygraph program to ensure effectiveness and efficiency.
- Handle sensitive and confidential information with the utmost discretion and professionalism.
- Attend and represent the department at meetings, conferences, and other events related to polygraphy.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by department superiors.
Completion Of A Bachelor's Degree In Criminal Justice, Psychology, Or A Related Field.
Certification As A Polygraph Examiner From An Accredited Institution.
Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience As A Polygraph Examiner, With At Least 2 Years In A Supervisory Role.
Knowledge And Understanding Of Relevant Federal And State Laws, Regulations, And Guidelines Related To Polygraph Examinations.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Train And Supervise A Team Of Polygraph Examiners.
