The City of San Diego is seeking a dedicated Recreation Leader to join our team and help us provide high-quality recreational experiences for our residents. As a Recreation Leader, you will have the opportunity to plan and implement a variety of activities, from sports leagues and fitness classes to arts and crafts workshops and community events. We are looking for someone with a positive attitude, excellent communication skills, and a strong background in recreation and leisure services.   1. Develop and implement a diverse range of recreational activities and programs for all ages and abilities.
  2. Create engaging and fun events that promote community involvement and enhance the overall quality of life for residents.
  3. Conduct research and stay up-to-date on current trends and best practices in the recreation and leisure industry.
  4. Collaborate with other departments, organizations, and community groups to coordinate and promote recreational events and activities.
  5. Recruit, train, and supervise a team of volunteers to assist with program implementation and event coordination.
  6. Manage program budgets and resources effectively to ensure the success and sustainability of recreational activities.
  7. Maintain accurate records and reports related to program participation, budget expenditures, and program evaluations.
  8. Communicate effectively with participants, community members, and stakeholders to promote programs and address any concerns or feedback.
  9. Ensure the safety and well-being of all participants by following proper procedures and protocols.
  10. Continuously seek out and incorporate feedback from participants to improve and enhance existing programs and activities.
