  1. Operate and maintain the pure water treatment facility to ensure the production of high-quality, potable water for the community of San Diego.
  2. Monitor and control all aspects of the treatment process, including water flow, chemical levels, and equipment performance.
  3. Troubleshoot and resolve any operational issues to minimize downtime and maintain efficiency.
  4. Conduct regular inspections and tests to ensure compliance with all safety and environmental regulations.
  5. Keep accurate records of all plant operations and maintenance activities.
  6. Collaborate with other team members to develop and implement improvement plans for the facility.
  7. Follow all standard operating procedures and safety protocols to ensure the safety of yourself and others.
  8. Remain up-to-date on industry trends and advancements in water treatment technology.
  9. Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and other departments to coordinate work and address any concerns.
  10. Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance job knowledge and skills.
  11. Maintain a strong sense of responsibility towards the environment and community by promoting sustainable water treatment practices.
  12. Adhere to the City of San Diego's policies and procedures at all times.
  13. Provide excellent customer service when interacting with residents and addressing any water-related inquiries or concerns.
  14. Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
  15. Continuously strive to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the pure water treatment facility.

Job Qualifications
  • Minimum Of A High School Diploma Or Equivalent Education

  • At Least 2 Years Of Experience Operating And Maintaining Water Treatment Systems

  • Valid State-Issued Water Treatment Operator Certification

  • Ability To Troubleshoot And Resolve Technical Issues Related To Water Treatment Systems
