  1. Ensure the safety of patrons at city pools by closely monitoring pool areas and enforcing safety rules and regulations.
  2. Conduct regular checks of pool equipment and report any malfunctions or hazards to superiors.
  3. Provide assistance and first aid to patrons in case of emergencies.
  4. Maintain a clean and organized pool area at all times, including keeping the pool deck and surrounding areas free of debris.
  5. Communicate effectively with patrons, fellow pool guards, and other staff members to ensure a smooth and safe operation.
  6. Assist in the setup and breakdown of pool equipment, including chairs, umbrellas, and lifeguard stands.
  7. Attend and actively participate in all required training and meetings to stay updated on safety protocols and procedures.
  8. Act as a positive role model for patrons by exhibiting excellent customer service and professionalism at all times.
  9. Report any incidents or concerns to appropriate supervisors in a timely manner.
  10. Follow all city and pool safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe and enjoyable environment for all patrons.

Job Qualifications
  • Cpr And First Aid Certification: As A Pool Guard I, It Is Crucial To Have Current Certification In Cpr And First Aid To Respond To Any Emergency Situations That May Occur.

  • Lifeguard Certification: This Qualification Ensures That The Candidate Has The Necessary Skills And Knowledge To Effectively Monitor And Maintain Pool Safety.

  • Experience In Pool Maintenance: The Ideal Candidate Should Have Experience In Pool Maintenance, Including Knowledge Of Water Chemistry, Pool Cleaning, And Equipment Operation.

  • Physical Fitness: As A Pool Guard I, The Job Requires Physical Stamina And The Ability To Swim Long Distances, Lift Heavy Objects, And Perform Various Tasks Under Strenuous Conditions.
