- Conduct regular patrols of assigned park areas and ensure all rules and regulations are being followed by visitors.
- Assist with the maintenance and upkeep of park facilities, including restrooms, trails, and picnic areas.
- Respond to and address any visitor concerns or issues in a professional and friendly manner.
- Educate visitors on the importance of conservation and protection of natural resources within the parks.
- Enforce park rules and regulations to ensure the safety and enjoyment of all visitors.
- Collaborate with other park staff and departments to plan and execute special events and programs.
- Monitor and report any potential safety hazards or maintenance needs within the parks.
- Provide information and assistance to visitors regarding park activities, events, and amenities.
- Serve as a positive role model and ambassador for the City of San Diego and its parks.
- Continuously update and maintain knowledge of park policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Promote and maintain a clean and well-maintained environment within the parks.
- Assist with the enforcement of park permits and reservations.
- Keep accurate records and reports of park activities, incidents, and visitor statistics.
- Participate in training and development opportunities to improve skills and knowledge related to park management and conservation.
- Perform other duties as assigned by superiors to ensure the smooth operation of the parks.
Bachelor's Degree In Natural Resource Management, Environmental Science, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Park Management, Wildlife Conservation, Or Outdoor Education.
Strong Knowledge Of Local Flora And Fauna, As Well As Park Regulations And Safety Protocols.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Interact With Park Visitors And Handle Potential Conflicts.
Physical Fitness And Ability To Work Outdoors In Various Weather Conditions, Including Hiking And Performing Manual Labor Tasks.
