Job Description

  1. Provide administrative support to the legal team, including managing calendars, scheduling appointments, and organizing meetings and conferences.
  2. Prepare and proofread legal documents, such as briefs, pleadings, and correspondence, ensuring accuracy and adherence to established formats and legal procedures.
  3. Maintain and organize electronic and physical filing systems, including confidential and sensitive documents.
  4. Conduct legal research and gather information to assist attorneys in case preparation and strategy.
  5. Communicate with clients, witnesses, and other parties involved in legal cases, both in person and via phone, email, and mail.
  6. Handle incoming and outgoing mail and packages, including routing them to the appropriate parties and tracking delivery and receipt.
  7. Assist in managing and tracking legal expenses, including processing invoices and maintaining budget records.
  8. Coordinate and manage the scheduling and logistics of depositions, hearings, and trials.
  9. Maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion when handling sensitive information and materials.
  10. Collaborate with other legal secretaries and support staff to ensure efficient and effective operations of the legal department.
  11. Proactively identify and resolve potential issues and challenges to ensure the smooth functioning of the office.
  12. Stay updated on legal procedures, regulations, and terminology to provide accurate support to the legal team.
  13. Prioritize and manage a high volume of tasks and deadlines with minimal supervision.
  14. Assist with other duties and projects as assigned by attorneys or supervisors.

Job Qualifications
