- Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of land surveying projects within the City of San Diego.
- Conduct various types of land surveys, including topographic, boundary, and construction surveys.
- Utilize surveying equipment and software to collect and analyze data.
- Perform mathematical calculations and prepare accurate survey reports and maps.
- Communicate and collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other team members to ensure project goals and deadlines are met.
- Maintain and update survey records and documents in accordance with departmental standards and procedures.
- Follow safety protocols and procedures while performing surveying tasks.
- Continuously improve surveying techniques and methods to increase efficiency and accuracy.
- Keep up-to-date with industry advancements and changes in surveying technology and techniques.
- Represent the City of San Diego in a professional manner and maintain positive relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Assist in training and mentoring junior surveying staff.
- Adhere to all city, state, and federal regulations and laws related to surveying activities.
- Participate in departmental meetings and provide input and suggestions for improvement.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisor.
Associate's Degree In Land Surveying Or Related Field
Minimum Of 1 Year Of Experience In Land Surveying Or Related Field
Proficiency In Using Surveying Equipment And Software, Such As Gps, Total Station, And Autocad
Knowledge Of Land Surveying Principles, Procedures, And Techniques
Ability To Work Independently And As Part Of A Team, With Excellent Communication And Organizational Skills
