  1. Analyze financial data: Conduct thorough analysis of financial data, including budgets, expenditures, revenues, and other financial reports, to identify patterns, trends, and potential areas for improvement.
  2. Provide strategic insights: Use financial analysis to provide strategic insights and recommendations to support the City's budget planning and decision-making processes.
  3. Collaborate with team members: Work closely with other members of the finance team to gather and share information, and ensure accuracy and consistency of data.
  4. Communicate effectively: Communicate complex financial information and analysis in a clear and concise manner to various stakeholders, including department heads, senior management, and elected officials.
  5. Conduct research: Conduct research on financial best practices, industry trends, and regulations to inform decision-making and improve processes.
  6. Develop and maintain financial models: Develop and maintain financial models and tools to support budget planning and forecasting.
  7. Monitor budget performance: Monitor budget performance and provide regular reports and updates to management.
  8. Identify cost-saving opportunities: Identify cost-saving opportunities and make recommendations for cost-cutting measures.
  9. Ensure compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations, policies, and procedures.
  10. Stay current on industry trends: Stay updated on industry trends, changes in regulations, and best practices to continuously improve processes and provide valuable insights.
  11. Train and mentor junior analysts: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior analysts to develop their financial analysis skills.
  12. Adhere to deadlines: Meet all deadlines for budget planning and reporting, and ensure accuracy and timeliness of all financial data.
  13. Uphold ethical standards: Adhere to the City's code of ethics and maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Finance, Accounting, Economics, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In Financial Analysis, Preferably In A Government Or Municipal Setting.

  • Strong Knowledge Of Financial Principles And Practices, Including Budgeting, Forecasting, And Financial Reporting.

  • Advanced Proficiency In Microsoft Excel And Financial Modeling.

  • Excellent Analytical, Problem-Solving, And Communication Skills.
