  1. Conduct environmental research and assessments to identify potential impacts on natural resources.
  2. Develop and implement plans to mitigate and manage environmental impacts.
  3. Collaborate with other departments and agencies to ensure compliance with environmental regulations and standards.
  4. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of environmental programs and initiatives.
  5. Identify and recommend strategies for the protection and enhancement of natural resources.
  6. Manage and oversee environmental projects, including budgeting, scheduling, and reporting.
  7. Provide technical expertise and guidance to internal and external stakeholders.
  8. Conduct field work and collect data to support environmental studies and assessments.
  9. Prepare and present reports, presentations, and recommendations to senior management and stakeholders.
  10. Stay current with industry trends and advancements in environmental science.
  11. Develop and maintain relationships with community organizations and stakeholders to promote environmental conservation efforts.
  12. Train and mentor junior staff members in environmental best practices and procedures.
  13. Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and permits.
  14. Participate in public outreach and education initiatives to increase awareness of environmental issues and promote sustainable practices.
  15. Act as a liaison between the City and external agencies and organizations on environmental matters.

Job Qualifications
  • A Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In The Field Of Environmental Biology, With A Focus On Conservation, Restoration, And/Or Management.

  • A Master's Degree In Biology, Ecology, Environmental Science, Or A Related Field.

  • Extensive Knowledge Of Local, State, And Federal Environmental Laws And Regulations, Including The Endangered Species Act, Clean Water Act, And National Environmental Policy Act.

  • Demonstrated Experience In Leading And Coordinating Complex Environmental Projects, Including Conducting Field Surveys, Analyzing Data, And Writing Comprehensive Reports.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Collaborate With A Diverse Range Of Stakeholders, Including Government Agencies, Community Groups, And Private Organizations.
