Job Description

  1. Receive and respond to emergency calls for service in a timely and efficient manner.
  2. Dispatch appropriate emergency personnel, such as police, fire, or medical responders, to the scene of the incident.
  3. Maintain clear and accurate records of all calls and dispatches.
  4. Monitor and coordinate the activities of emergency personnel on duty.
  5. Utilize various communication systems to relay information and instructions to emergency personnel, citizens, and other agencies.
  6. Remain calm and professional under pressure while handling multiple tasks and emergencies simultaneously.
  7. Provide excellent customer service to citizens and emergency personnel.
  8. Follow established protocols and procedures for handling emergency calls and dispatching emergency personnel.
  9. Collaborate with other agencies and departments to coordinate emergency response efforts.
  10. Continuously monitor and update information on active incidents and adjust dispatching as needed.
  11. Monitor and respond to alarms and other emergency notifications.
  12. Keep accurate records of equipment and supplies and report any issues or malfunctions.
  13. Attend regular training and maintain knowledge of emergency procedures and protocols.
  14. Report any safety hazards or concerns to appropriate personnel.
  15. Perform other duties as assigned by superiors.
