1. Coordinate and dispatch emergency response services to ensure timely and effective assistance to residents.
2. Maintain a calm and professional demeanor while handling high-pressure situations.
3. Communicate clearly and effectively with emergency responders, residents, and other city departments.
4. Receive and prioritize incoming emergency calls and dispatch appropriate resources.
5. Monitor and track emergency response vehicles and personnel to ensure efficient use of resources.
6. Provide accurate and detailed information to emergency responders and other agencies as needed.
7. Maintain accurate records and documentation of all emergency calls and responses.
8. Continuously monitor and evaluate emergency response procedures to identify areas for improvement.
9. Collaborate with other city departments and agencies to ensure effective emergency response and communication.
10. Stay updated on city policies, procedures, and protocols related to emergency response.
11. Train and mentor new dispatchers to ensure they are knowledgeable and competent in their role.
12. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all privacy laws and regulations.
13. Remain flexible and adaptable in a fast-paced and ever-changing work environment.
14. Provide excellent customer service to residents and visitors of the city.
15. Other duties as assigned by supervisor or department head.
