
Dispatcher

- Coordinate and dispatch emergency response services to ensure timely and effective assistance to residents.
- Maintain a calm and professional demeanor while handling high-pressure situations.
- Communicate clearly and effectively with emergency responders, residents, and other city departments.
- Receive and prioritize incoming emergency calls and dispatch appropriate resources.
- Monitor and track emergency response vehicles and personnel to ensure efficient use of resources.
- Provide accurate and detailed information to emergency responders and other agencies as needed.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of all emergency calls and responses.
- Continuously monitor and evaluate emergency response procedures to identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with other city departments and agencies to ensure effective emergency response and communication.
- Stay updated on city policies, procedures, and protocols related to emergency response.
- Train and mentor new dispatchers to ensure they are knowledgeable and competent in their role.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all privacy laws and regulations.
- Remain flexible and adaptable in a fast-paced and ever-changing work environment.
- Provide excellent customer service to residents and visitors of the city.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor or department head.
High School Diploma Or Equivalent Education
Minimum Of 2 Years Experience In A Dispatch Or Call Center Environment
