Job Description

We are currently seeking a passionate and experienced Digital Equity Program Manager to join our dynamic team and lead our efforts in bridging the digital divide. As the Digital Equity Program Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that all San Diegans have equal access to technology and the opportunities it provides.   1. Develop and implement a comprehensive digital equity program for the City of San Diego.
  2. Collaborate with community organizations, government agencies, and other stakeholders to identify and address digital inequities in the city.
  3. Monitor and analyze data to identify areas of need and measure the success of the digital equity program.
  4. Create and manage a budget for digital equity initiatives and ensure that funds are allocated effectively.
  5. Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and contractors to support the implementation of digital equity initiatives.
  6. Oversee the implementation of digital literacy and technology training programs for underrepresented communities.
  7. Conduct outreach and education efforts to raise awareness about digital equity and the resources available.
  8. Serve as a liaison between the IT department and other city departments to ensure that digital equity is incorporated into all relevant projects and initiatives.
  9. Develop and maintain partnerships with local businesses and organizations to secure donations and sponsorships for digital equity programs.
  10. Stay informed about current trends and best practices in digital equity and make recommendations for program enhancements and improvements.
  11. Supervise and mentor a team of staff and volunteers to support the digital equity program.
  12. Prepare reports and presentations to communicate the impact and progress of the digital equity program to city officials and stakeholders.
  13. Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and policies related to digital equity.
  14. Continuously evaluate and adapt the digital equity program to meet the evolving needs of the community.
  15. Represent the City of San Diego at conferences, events, and meetings related to digital equity.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In A Related Field Such As Information Technology, Computer Science, Or Business Administration.

  • Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In Program Or Project Management, Preferably In The Field Of Digital Equity Or Technology.

  • Strong Knowledge Of Digital Equity Principles And Practices, Including Experience With Outreach And Engagement Strategies For Underserved Communities.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Collaborate With Diverse Stakeholders And Build Partnerships With Community Organizations.

  • Demonstrated Experience In Managing Budgets, Developing And Implementing Program Plans, And Evaluating Program Effectiveness.
