- Provide legal counsel and advice to the City of San Diego and its officials.
- Represent the City in legal proceedings and negotiations.
- Conduct legal research and draft legal documents, including contracts and ordinances.
- Advise and assist City departments in complying with applicable laws and regulations.
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with City officials and stakeholders.
- Stay informed of changes in laws and regulations that may affect the City.
- Ensure legal compliance in City policies and procedures.
- Effectively communicate complex legal concepts to non-legal staff and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with other members of the legal team to strategize and provide solutions to legal issues.
- Handle a high-volume caseload while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Maintain confidentiality and ethical standards in all aspects of work.

Juris Doctor (J.d.) Degree From An Accredited Law School.
Admission To The State Bar Of California.
At Least 3 Years Of Experience Practicing Law, Preferably In Municipal Or Government Law.
Knowledge Of Local, State, And Federal Laws, Regulations, And Legal Procedures.
Strong Written And Verbal Communication Skills, Including The Ability To Effectively Advocate For The City's Interests In Court And Negotiate Settlements.
