  1. Develop and implement community development strategies and initiatives that align with the goals and objectives of the City of San Diego.
  2. Collaborate with community leaders, organizations, and residents to identify needs and priorities for community development projects.
  3. Facilitate community meetings and events to gather input, build relationships, and promote community engagement.
  4. Conduct research and analysis to support decision-making for community development projects and programs.
  5. Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure successful implementation of community development initiatives.
  6. Build partnerships with external stakeholders, including government agencies, non-profit organizations, and businesses, to leverage resources and support for community development efforts.
  7. Provide technical assistance and guidance to community groups and organizations seeking funding or resources for community development projects.
  8. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of community development programs and projects, and make recommendations for improvement.
  9. Serve as a liaison between the City of San Diego and the community, communicating information and updates on projects, programs, and initiatives.
  10. Stay current on trends and best practices in community development, and make recommendations for incorporating new approaches and strategies into city initiatives.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Community Development, Urban Planning, Public Administration, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 3 Years Experience In Community Development, Project Management, Or A Related Field.

  • Knowledge Of Local Government Processes And Regulations Related To Community Development.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Work With Diverse Stakeholders And Community Members.

  • Ability To Analyze And Interpret Data To Inform Community Development Strategies And Initiatives.
