
Body and Fender Mechanic

- Perform regular maintenance and repairs on the city's fleet of vehicles, including cars, trucks, and specialty vehicles.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues with vehicles, including body damage, dents, and scratches.
- Utilize knowledge of automotive body repair techniques to effectively and efficiently repair damaged vehicles.
- Work independently or as part of a team to complete repairs within designated timeframes.
- Follow safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance performed on each vehicle.
- Communicate with supervisors and team members to coordinate repairs and share knowledge and expertise.

High School Diploma Or Equivalent: The City Of San Diego Requires All Applicants For The Body And Fender Mechanic Position To Have A High School Diploma Or Equivalent. This Demonstrates A Basic Level Of Education And Knowledge That Is Necessary For The Job.
