- Follow proper safety procedures and guidelines while working at heights and operating equipment.
- Collaborate with team members to plan and execute tree pruning projects in a timely and efficient manner.
- Communicate with city officials and residents to address any concerns or questions about tree pruning.
- Keep accurate records of all pruning activities and report any issues or concerns to the supervisor.
- Stay up-to-date with industry standards, techniques, and safety protocols related to tree pruning.

- Assist with other tree-related tasks and projects as needed, such as planting, watering, and removal.
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude while representing the city and the tree pruning team.
- Continuously strive to improve and enhance the health and appearance of the city's urban forest.
- Work independently and as part of a team to ensure all pruning tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition and report any issues to the supervisor.
- Act as a knowledgeable resource for residents and visitors regarding the city's tree pruning practices and policies.
Knowledge Of Tree Care: The Candidate Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of Tree Biology, Proper Pruning Techniques, And The Ability To Identify And Diagnose Tree Health Issues.
Experience With Pruning Equipment: Applicants Should Have Experience Operating Pruning Equipment Such As Chainsaws, Pole Pruners, And Hand Saws. They Should Also Be Knowledgeable About Safety Protocols And Procedures.
Physical Fitness: Tree Pruning Is A Physically Demanding Job That Requires Strength, Agility, And Endurance. Candidates Should Be Able To Work At Heights And In Various Weather Conditions.
Communication Skills: Strong Communication Skills Are Essential For A Tree Pruner To Effectively Communicate With Team Members And Residents. They Should Be Able To Clearly Explain The Pruning Process And Address Any Concerns.
