- Review and process permit and license applications accurately and efficiently.
- Verify that all required documents and fees are submitted in accordance with city regulations.
- Communicate effectively with applicants and provide guidance on the permitting process.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable codes, laws, and regulations.
- Conduct thorough inspections of permitted sites to ensure compliance with approved plans.
- Maintain accurate records of all permits and licenses issued.
- Collaborate with other city departments and outside agencies to resolve complex permitting issues.
- Continuously review and improve the permitting process to promote efficiency and customer service.
- Monitor and enforce compliance with permit conditions and deadlines.
- Respond to inquiries and complaints from the public regarding permits and licenses.
- Keep up-to-date with changes in city regulations and incorporate them into the permitting process.
- Assist in the development and implementation of training programs for staff and the public regarding the permitting process.
- Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism and discretion.
- Uphold a high level of customer service and effectively represent the City of Pittsburgh.
- Other duties as assigned by the Permits & Licensing department.
Knowledge Of Local Permitting Regulations: A Technician, Permits & Licensing At City Of Pittsburgh Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of Local Regulations And Codes Related To Building Permits And Licensing. This Includes Knowledge Of Zoning Laws, Building Codes, And Other Relevant Regulations.
Strong Attention To Detail: As A Technician, Permits & Licensing, One Will Be Responsible For Reviewing And Approving Permit Applications And Licenses. This Requires A High Level Of Attention To Detail To Ensure All Necessary Information Is Accurate And Complete.
