  1. Plan and coordinate recreational programs and events for community members of all ages.
  2. Supervise and lead recreational activities, ensuring a safe and engaging environment.
  3. Promote a healthy and active lifestyle through various recreational opportunities.
  4. Demonstrate strong leadership skills by effectively managing and motivating a team of staff and volunteers.
  5. Communicate effectively with community members, staff, and volunteers to ensure a positive experience for all participants.
  6. Maintain accurate records and documentation of program attendance, equipment usage, and incident reports.
  7. Collaborate with other departments and community organizations to develop and implement new and innovative recreational programs.
  8. Ensure compliance with all safety and risk management policies and procedures.
  9. Assist with budget planning and management for recreational programs and events.
  10. Continuously evaluate and improve programs and events based on participant feedback and community needs.
  11. Act as a positive role model for participants and promote a welcoming and inclusive environment for all.
  12. Attend and actively participate in staff meetings, trainings, and workshops related to recreation and event planning.
  13. Stay informed and up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in recreation and event planning.
  14. Adhere to all city and department policies and procedures.
  15. Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Job Qualifications
  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Planning And Leading Recreational Activities For Diverse Populations, Preferably In A Municipal Or Community Setting.

  • High School Diploma Or Equivalent Education Required, With Coursework In Recreation, Physical Education, Or Related Field Preferred.

  • Current Certification In Cpr, First Aid, And Aed, Or Willingness To Obtain Within First 3 Months Of Employment.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Interact With Participants, Colleagues, And Supervisors.

  • Familiarity With Various Recreational Equipment And Facilities, As Well As Safety Protocols And Procedures, To Ensure A Safe And Enjoyable Experience For All Participants.
