- Plan and implement a variety of recreational programs for individuals of all ages.
- Create fun and engaging activities that cater to the diverse interests and needs of community members.
- Ensure that all programs and activities are inclusive and accessible to all individuals.
- Collaborate with other staff members and community partners to develop and coordinate events.
- Maintain a safe and welcoming environment for all participants.
- Communicate effectively with participants, staff, and community members about program details and updates.
- Keep accurate records of program attendance and participant feedback.
- Assist in the recruitment and training of volunteers for events and programs.
- Maintain inventory and supplies for recreational activities and events.
- Monitor and adhere to budget constraints for programs and events.
- Evaluate the success and impact of programs and make necessary adjustments for improvement.
- Serve as a positive role model for participants and promote positive behavior and sportsmanship.
- Adhere to all city and department policies and procedures.
- Continuously seek out new and innovative ideas to enhance recreational offerings.
- Actively engage with the community and seek feedback to improve programs and events.
- Foster a positive and inclusive environment for all participants and staff.
- Attend meetings and training sessions as required.
- Maintain a professional and friendly demeanor at all times.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.
Minimum Of 2 Years Experience In A Recreational Or Community Programming Role, Preferably In A Municipal Or Government Setting.
Bachelor's Degree In Recreation Management, Leisure Studies, Or A Related Field.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Interact With Diverse Groups Of Individuals.
Knowledge And Understanding Of Recreational Activities And Programs, Including Sports, Arts And Crafts, And Special Events.
Current Certification In Cpr And First Aid, Or Willingness To Obtain Within The First 30 Days Of Employment.
