The City of Pittsburgh is seeking a dynamic Recreation Leader to join our Community Enrichment Program. In this role, you will have the opportunity to plan, implement, and lead recreational activities for community members of all ages.   1. Plan and implement recreational activities for community members of all ages.
  2. Develop and maintain a diverse range of programs and events that promote a healthy and engaging community.
  3. Lead and supervise participants during recreational activities.
  4. Ensure the safety and well-being of all participants at all times.
  5. Collaborate with community organizations and partners to enhance program offerings.
  6. Maintain accurate records and reports of program attendance, supplies, and budget.
  7. Assist in the recruitment and training of volunteers to support program activities.
  8. Communicate effectively with participants, parents, and community members to promote program offerings and address any concerns.
  9. Foster a positive and inclusive environment for all participants.
  10. Continuously assess and evaluate program effectiveness and make recommendations for improvement.
  11. Stay updated on current trends and best practices in the field of recreation.
  12. Adhere to all departmental policies and procedures.
  13. Maintain a professional and positive attitude at all times.
  14. Attend staff meetings and trainings as required.
  15. Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Job Qualifications
  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work With Diverse Populations.

  • Bachelor's Degree In Recreation Management, Community Development, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Planning And Implementing Recreational Programs, Preferably In A Community Setting.

  • Knowledge Of Community Resources And The Ability To Collaborate With Local Organizations To Enhance Program Offerings.

  • Cpr And First Aid Certification, Or Willingness To Obtain Within 3 Months Of Hire.
