Recreation Leader

1. Develop and implement recreational programs for all ages and abilities in the City of Pittsburgh.
2. Ensure that all programs and activities are inclusive and accessible to all members of the community.
3. Create a welcoming and inclusive environment for all participants.
4. Promote physical activity and healthy lifestyles through engaging and fun recreational programs.
5. Plan and coordinate events, activities, and trips for community members.
6. Maintain program budgets and track expenses to ensure financial responsibility.
7. Recruit, train, and supervise program volunteers and staff.
8. Communicate regularly with community members and stakeholders to gather feedback and improve programs.
9. Ensure the safety of all participants by adhering to all safety guidelines and protocols.
10. Collaborate with other city departments and local organizations to enhance recreational opportunities in the community.
11. Keep accurate records of program attendance, evaluations, and other necessary documentation.
12. Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in recreational programming.
13. Assist with marketing and promoting programs to increase participation and community engagement.
14. Foster a positive and inclusive work environment for all staff and volunteers.
15. Represent the City of Pittsburgh and the Recreation department at community events and meetings.
16. Perform other related duties as assigned by superiors.
