- Manage and oversee all stages of major structural projects within the City of Pittsburgh.
- Develop and implement project plans, timelines, and budgets.
- Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with all relevant codes and regulations.
- Lead and supervise a team of engineers, architects, and contractors to ensure project success.
- Collaborate with various stakeholders, including city officials, community members, and other departments, to gather input and address concerns.
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, identify potential issues, and make necessary adjustments to keep projects on track.
- Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and contractors to ensure quality materials and workmanship.
- Review and approve project designs, plans, and specifications.
- Monitor and track project expenses, providing regular reports to management.
- Ensure project documentation is accurate and complete, including contracts, progress reports, and change orders.
- Mitigate risks and resolve conflicts that may arise during the project.
- Stay current on industry trends, best practices, and new technologies in the field of structural engineering and project management.
- Represent the City of Pittsburgh at public meetings, hearings, and other events related to structural projects.
- Foster a culture of safety, quality, and excellence within the project team.
- Continuously evaluate and improve project management processes to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
Bachelor's Degree In Civil Engineering Or A Related Field
Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Project Management, Specifically In The Design And Construction Of Structures
Knowledge Of Local And State Building Codes And Regulations
Strong Communication And Leadership Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Manage A Team And Coordinate With Stakeholders
Experience With Budget Management And Project Scheduling, Including The Ability To Anticipate And Mitigate Potential Delays And Issues.
