The City of Pittsburgh is seeking a dedicated and experienced POST Certified Peer Recovery Specialist Supervisor to join our team.   1. Supervise and mentor a team of Certified Peer Recovery Specialists in providing support and guidance to individuals in recovery.
  2. Develop and implement training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of the team.
  3. Monitor and evaluate the performance and progress of team members, providing constructive feedback and support as needed.
  4. Collaborate with community organizations and agencies to identify resources and develop partnerships to support individuals in recovery.
  5. Ensure that all team members adhere to ethical standards and maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
  6. Evaluate the effectiveness of recovery programs and make recommendations for improvement.
  7. Conduct regular staff meetings to discuss challenges, successes, and opportunities for growth and development.
  8. Create and maintain documentation related to client progress, services provided, and outcomes achieved.
  9. Participate in the recruitment and hiring process for new team members.
  10. Stay updated on current trends and best practices in peer recovery support to continuously improve services.
  11. Act as a liaison between the team and management, communicating any concerns or needs for resources.
  12. Promote a culture of empowerment and self-determination for individuals in recovery.
  13. Collaborate with other departments and agencies within the City of Pittsburgh to coordinate services and support for individuals in recovery.
  14. Represent the City of Pittsburgh at community events and conferences related to addiction and mental health recovery.
  15. Uphold the values and mission of the City of Pittsburgh and the peer recovery support program.

Job Qualifications
  • At Least Five Years Of Experience Working In A Peer Recovery Specialist Role, With A Strong Understanding Of Substance Abuse Treatment And Recovery Processes.

  • Certification As A Certified Peer Recovery Specialist (Cprs) Through The Pennsylvania Certification Board Or Other Recognized Certification Organization.

  • A Minimum Of Two Years Of Experience In A Supervisory Or Leadership Role, Demonstrating The Ability To Effectively Manage And Support A Team Of Peer Recovery Specialists.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Collaborate With Other Healthcare Professionals And Community Organizations.

  • Knowledge Of And Adherence To The Ethical Standards And Professional Code Of Conduct Set Forth By The Pennsylvania Certification Board And The International Certification And Reciprocity Consortium (Ic&Rc).
