
Police Fleet Coordinator

- Oversee the daily operations of the police fleet, including vehicle maintenance, repairs, and replacements.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive fleet management plan to ensure the efficient and cost-effective use of vehicles.
- Maintain accurate records of vehicle usage, maintenance schedules, and expenses.
- Work closely with the police department to understand their vehicle needs and ensure that the fleet meets their requirements.
- Conduct regular inspections of vehicles to identify and address any issues.
- Coordinate with external vendors and suppliers to source and purchase new vehicles and equipment.
- Manage the inventory of spare parts and supplies for the fleet, ensuring an adequate supply is maintained at all times.
- Develop and maintain relationships with vehicle manufacturers and dealerships to stay informed about new technologies and advancements in fleet management.
- Train and supervise a team of mechanics and technicians responsible for maintaining the fleet.
- Monitor and analyze fleet data to identify areas for improvement and cost-saving opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with all safety and environmental regulations related to the fleet.
- Communicate with other departments and agencies, as needed, to coordinate fleet operations and logistics.
- Prepare and present reports on fleet performance and expenses to management.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends, advancements, and best practices in fleet management.
- Maintain a positive and collaborative working relationship with all members of the police department and other city employees.
Bachelor's Degree In Criminal Justice, Public Administration, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 3 Years Of Experience In Fleet Management, Preferably In A Law Enforcement Or Government Setting.
Knowledge Of Federal, State, And Local Laws And Regulations Governing Fleet Operations, Including Maintenance, Procurement, And Budgeting.
Excellent Organizational And Communication Skills, With The Ability To Manage Multiple Tasks And Prioritize Effectively.
Experience With Fleet Management Software And Systems, As Well As Proficiency In Microsoft Office And Other Relevant Computer Programs.
