
Parks Maintenance Manager

- Oversee and manage the maintenance and upkeep of all city parks and green spaces.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive maintenance plan for all parks, including regular inspections and routine maintenance schedules.
- Supervise a team of park maintenance staff, providing clear direction and guidance to ensure all tasks are completed efficiently and to a high standard.
- Conduct regular training and performance evaluations for park maintenance staff to enhance their skills and ensure they are equipped to carry out their duties effectively.
- Collaborate with other city departments to coordinate park maintenance and improvement projects.
- Monitor budget and expenses related to park maintenance, ensuring resources are utilized effectively and within budgetary constraints.
- Continuously assess and evaluate park maintenance processes and procedures, making recommendations for improvements and implementing changes as needed.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and protocols, promoting a safe working environment for park maintenance staff and park visitors.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with community members, responding to any concerns or issues related to park maintenance in a timely and professional manner.
- Serve as a liaison between the city and external contractors or vendors for park maintenance services and supplies.
- Stay informed about industry best practices and trends in park maintenance, and incorporate new techniques and technologies to enhance the city's green spaces.
- Foster a culture of environmental stewardship and sustainability within the park maintenance team and promote environmentally-friendly practices in park maintenance activities.
- Collaborate with city officials and stakeholders to develop long-term plans for the preservation and enhancement of the city's parks and green spaces.
- Represent the city at public events and meetings to promote awareness of park maintenance efforts and engage with the community.
- Perform any other related duties or projects as assigned.
Bachelor's Degree In Parks And Recreation Management, Horticulture, Or A Related Field.
At Least 5 Years Of Experience In Park Maintenance, Preferably In A Municipal Setting.
Knowledge Of Local, State, And Federal Regulations Related To Park Management And Maintenance.
Strong Leadership Skills With The Ability To Manage And Motivate A Team Of Maintenance Staff.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Collaborate With Other City Departments, Community Groups, And Stakeholders.
