- Monitor pool and water facilities to ensure the safety of all visitors.
- Respond quickly and effectively in emergency situations, including performing water rescues and administering first aid.
- Enforce all pool rules and regulations to maintain a safe and enjoyable environment for all guests.
- Maintain a professional and friendly demeanor while interacting with guests and addressing any concerns or questions.
- Regularly inspect and maintain pool equipment and report any issues to the appropriate supervisor.
- Attend required trainings and meetings to stay up-to-date on lifeguarding techniques and protocols.
- Work collaboratively with other lifeguards and staff members to ensure a cohesive and efficient team.
- Help with the setup and breakdown of pool equipment and furniture as needed.
- Assist with cleaning and maintaining the pool area and facilities.
- Act as a positive role model for guests and promote a respectful and inclusive environment.
- Communicate effectively with coworkers and supervisors to ensure a smooth and safe operation.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures and report any safety hazards or incidents immediately.
- Represent the Parks and Recreation Department in a professional and positive manner at all times.
- Uphold the park's reputation for exceptional customer service and strive to exceed guest expectations.
- Demonstrate a genuine interest in promoting water safety and a commitment to making a positive impact in the community.
Must Be At Least 16 Years Of Age Or Older.
Must Have Current Certification In Lifeguarding, Cpr, And First Aid.
Ability To Pass A Pre-Employment Physical And Swim Test.
Strong Communication And Customer Service Skills.
Knowledge Of Water Safety And Emergency Protocols.
