  1. Conduct inspections of electrical systems in residential and commercial properties to ensure compliance with city and state codes and regulations.
  2. Enforce electrical codes and standards to ensure the safety and integrity of electrical systems.
  3. Provide guidance and support to contractors and property owners on compliance with electrical codes and regulations.
  4. Conduct thorough and accurate evaluations of electrical systems, identifying any potential hazards or violations.
  5. Maintain detailed records and documentation of inspections and findings.
  6. Communicate inspection results and any necessary corrective actions to relevant parties.
  7. Stay up-to-date on changes and updates to electrical codes and regulations.
  8. Collaborate with other city departments and agencies to ensure coordinated and efficient inspections and compliance efforts.
  9. Respond to and investigate complaints regarding potential violations of electrical codes.
  10. Use specialized equipment and tools to conduct inspections and evaluations.
  11. Assist with the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to electrical safety and compliance.
  12. Participate in training and professional development opportunities to maintain and enhance knowledge and skills.
  13. Represent the city at meetings and events related to electrical safety and compliance.
  14. Work with a sense of urgency and prioritize workload to meet deadlines and ensure timely inspections and enforcement.

Job Qualifications
  • Possession Of A Valid Electrical Inspector License Issued By The Commonwealth Of Pennsylvania.

  • At Least Five Years Of Experience In The Electrical Field, Including Experience In Conducting Inspections And Enforcing Electrical Codes.

  • Knowledge Of The National Electrical Code (Nec) And Other Relevant Codes, Regulations, And Standards.

  • Ability To Read And Interpret Construction Plans And Specifications.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Communicate Technical Information To A Variety Of Stakeholders.
