  1. Respond to emergency calls in a timely and efficient manner.
  2. Assess patient conditions and provide appropriate medical treatment.
  3. Administer necessary medical procedures, interventions, and medications.

  5. Follow all established protocols and procedures for emergency medical services.

  9. Transport patients to medical facilities as needed.

  12. Demonstrate empathy, compassion, and professionalism while providing care to patients.
  13. Participate in training and educational programs to maintain and enhance skills and knowledge.
  14. Maintain and ensure the cleanliness and organization of emergency medical equipment and vehicles.
  15. Adhere to all city and departmental policies and procedures.
  16. Provide exceptional customer service to the community and represent the City of Pittsburgh in a positive manner.
  17. Work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced and high-stress environment.
  18. Display a strong commitment to providing high-quality care to patients in need.
  19. Maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to all HIPAA regulations.
  20. Perform any other duties as assigned by superiors.

Job Qualifications
  • Valid Emt Certification: The Candidate Must Possess A Valid Emt Certification From An Accredited Institution.

  • Cpr And First Aid Certification: The Candidate Should Have Current Certification In Cpr And First Aid, As These Are Essential Skills For An Emt.

  • Experience In Emergency Medical Services: The Candidate Should Have Prior Experience Working In Emergency Medical Services, Either In A Hospital Or Ambulance Setting.

  • Knowledge Of Emergency Protocols And Procedures: The Candidate Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of Emergency Protocols And Procedures, Including Patient Assessment, Triage, And Treatment.

  • Excellent Communication And Teamwork Skills: The Candidate Must Possess Strong Communication And Teamwork Skills, As They Will Be Working Closely With Other Healthcare Professionals And Communicating With Patients And Their Families During High-Stress Situations.
