Job Description

  1. Develop and implement cybersecurity strategies and protocols to protect critical infrastructure and sensitive data from cyber attacks.
  2. Stay updated on the latest cyber threats and vulnerabilities, and proactively monitor and assess the city's systems for potential risks.
  3. Conduct regular audits and penetration testing to identify and address any security gaps.
  4. Collaborate with other cybersecurity professionals and IT teams to ensure all systems and networks are secure and compliant with industry standards.
  5. Provide training and guidance to city employees on cybersecurity best practices and procedures.
  6. Respond to security incidents and breaches in a timely and effective manner, and develop incident response plans.
  7. Conduct risk assessments and make recommendations for improving security measures.
  8. Stay informed about emerging technologies and trends in cybersecurity, and make recommendations for their implementation.
  9. Work with vendors and service providers to ensure the security of third-party systems and services.
  10. Assist with the development and maintenance of disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
  11. Maintain documentation of security policies, procedures, and incident reports.
  12. Assist with compliance audits and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.
  13. Collaborate with law enforcement and other agencies in the event of a cyber attack or other security incident.
  14. Continuously assess and improve the city's cybersecurity posture.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Computer Science, Information Technology, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Cybersecurity, Preferably In A Government Or Municipal Setting.

  • Strong Knowledge Of Network Security Protocols And Systems, Including Firewalls, Intrusion Detection/Prevention Systems, And Antivirus Software.

  • Familiarity With Industry Standard Cybersecurity Frameworks Such As Nist And Iso 27001.

  • Excellent Communication And Problem-Solving Skills, With The Ability To Work Collaboratively With Various Departments And Stakeholders Within The City Of Pittsburgh.
