  1. Assist the Lead Instructor in developing and implementing developmentally appropriate lesson plans for young children in the Head Start and Early Head Start programs.
  2. Support the social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development of children through engaging and interactive activities.
  3. Foster a nurturing and inclusive learning environment that promotes positive relationships and supports the diversity within the community.
  4. Collaborate with colleagues to create a cohesive and cohesive learning experience for children.
  5. Monitor the safety and well-being of children at all times, ensuring a secure and healthy environment.
  6. Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers to provide updates on their child's progress and address any concerns.
  7. Assist with record-keeping and documentation, including daily attendance, observations, and assessments.
  8. Attend training and professional development opportunities to stay updated on best practices in early childhood education.
  9. Maintain a clean and organized classroom, ensuring that materials and supplies are well-stocked and accessible.
  10. Adhere to all program policies, procedures, and regulations to ensure compliance with state and federal standards.

Job Qualifications
  • Minimum Education Requirements: A High School Diploma Or Equivalent Is Required For This Position. However, Candidates With An Associate's Or Bachelor's Degree In Early Childhood Education Or A Related Field Will Be Given Preference.

  • Experience: At Least 1-2 Years Of Experience Working With Children In A Classroom Setting Is Preferred. Previous Experience Working In A Head Start/Early Head Start Program Is Highly Desirable.

  • Certifications: Candidates Should Have Current Certifications In First Aid And Cpr. A Valid Child Development Associate (Cda) Credential Or Equivalent Is Also Preferred.

  • Knowledge Of Early Childhood Development: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Child Development Theories And Practices, As Well As Experience Implementing Developmentally Appropriate Activities For Young Children.

  • Communication And Teamwork Skills: This Position Requires The Ability To Communicate Effectively With Children, Parents, And Coworkers. Strong Teamwork Skills, Including The Ability To Collaborate With Other Staff Members And Follow The Lead Of The Lead Instructor, Are Essential For Success In This Role.
