Welcome to the City of Oakland Early Childhood Center!   1. Oversee the daily operations of the Early Childhood Center, including managing staff, creating schedules, and monitoring budget and expenses.
  2. Develop and implement a comprehensive curriculum that aligns with state and national early childhood education standards.
  3. Recruit, hire, and train qualified staff members, ensuring they are equipped to provide high-quality care and education to young children.
  4. Foster a positive and inclusive environment for children, families, and staff, promoting a sense of community and belonging.
  5. Regularly assess the effectiveness of the center's programs and make necessary adjustments to meet the needs of children and families.
  6. Establish and maintain strong relationships with families, communicating regularly about children's progress and addressing any concerns or issues.
  7. Collaborate with community partners and organizations to provide resources and support for families and children.
  8. Ensure compliance with all licensing and safety regulations, maintaining accurate records and documentation.
  9. Stay updated on current research and best practices in early childhood education, and incorporate them into the center's programs.
  10. Represent the center in a professional manner, promoting its mission and values to the public and stakeholders.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Or Master's Degree In Early Childhood Education Or Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Experience Working In A Leadership Role In An Early Childhood Education Setting.

  • Knowledge Of Current Early Childhood Education Theories, Practices, And Regulations.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Interact With Staff, Parents, And Community Members.

  • Experience In Budget Management And Developing And Implementing Policies And Procedures.
