Job Description

This position provides support to after school programs and expanded learning programs including but not limited to academic intervention, homework support, enrichment activities and supervised recreation. Supervise program participants. Supervise and maintain an appropriate student to staff ratio, maximum ratio of 20:1. Promote and ensure a safe and positive environment for all program participants. Provide academic assistance to program participants. Plan and implement site curriculum, recreational and enrichment activities. Assist in daily set-up and cleanup; maintain a clean, organized and safe environment for participants.

Job Qualifications

  • Volunteer or paid work experience with children is desirable.

  • Possession of a valid First Aid Certificate is required within 30 days of appointment.

  • May require some holiday and evening work assignments.
