
Associate Engineer
Respond to citizen inquiries and complaints; provides information to the public at the front counter in person, via telephone or other means of communication regarding grading, encroachment permits, right-of-way and property line information, utility information, solid waste and recycling programs, improvement plan check and payment processes; provide backup coverage at the public counter as necessary. May oversee the Geographical Information Systems (GIS) and Pavement Management programs. May manage the provisions of the City's solid waste and recycling franchise agreement. Maintain inventories necessary to complete NPDES reports. Maintain City storm water training records; review records for permit compliance; provide training to City employees as needed. May develop plans and create materials for public education and outreach programs regarding, waste diversion compliance including AB 939, AB 341, AB 1826, AB 1594, and SB 1383.
2 years of professional engineering and/or project administration experience
Knowledge of water quality and solid waste programs principles and policies
Knowledge of Federal, state, and local environmental laws and regulations
