The City of Las Vegas is seeking a dedicated and driven individual to join our team as an Assistant for Youth Development and Social Initiatives. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work alongside our experienced team to help shape and implement programs and initiatives that will benefit the youth and community of Las Vegas.   1. Develop and implement youth development programs and initiatives that align with the City of Las Vegas' mission and goals.
  2. Collaborate with community organizations and stakeholders to identify and address the needs of youth in Las Vegas.
  3. Assist in creating and managing budgets for youth development programs and initiatives.
  4. Conduct research and gather data to evaluate the effectiveness of existing programs and make recommendations for improvement.
  5. Train and supervise volunteers and staff members involved in youth development programs.
  6. Plan and execute events and activities that promote positive youth development and community engagement.
  7. Serve as a liaison between the City of Las Vegas and external organizations, including schools, community centers, and non-profits.
  8. Stay current on best practices and trends in youth development and social initiatives to continuously improve programs and initiatives.
  9. Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, such as local businesses and government officials, to support youth development efforts.
  10. Assist in creating and distributing marketing materials to promote youth development programs and initiatives.
  11. Maintain accurate records and reports on program activities and outcomes.
  12. Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and policies related to youth development and social initiatives.
  13. Serve as a role model and mentor for youth participants, promoting positive values and behaviors.
  14. Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Social Work, Youth Development, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Experience Working With Youth In A Community Or Non-Profit Setting.

  • Knowledge Of Local Resources And Programs For Youth Development And Social Initiatives.

  • Experience In Program Development And Implementation, Including Creating And Managing Budgets.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work With Diverse Populations And Collaborate With Community Partners.
