Job Description

The City of Jersey City is looking for a Tax Assessor Intern to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for helping the Tax Assessor with the assessment of all real estate, personal property, and motor vehicle taxes within the city. We are looking for a detail-oriented individual with strong organizational and communication skills. The ideal candidate should have a working knowledge of the principles and practices of taxation, as well as a basic understanding of local and state laws. If you are passionate about public service, have excellent interpersonal skills, and are eager to learn about taxation, we would love for you to join our team.
