1. Oversee and manage a team of lifeguards to ensure proper coverage and supervision at all times.
2. Conduct regular trainings and drills for lifeguards to maintain their skills and knowledge of safety procedures.
3. Monitor and evaluate lifeguards' performance and provide feedback for improvement.
4. Maintain a safe and clean environment for patrons by regularly inspecting equipment and enforcing pool rules.
5. Respond quickly and effectively to any emergency situations, providing first aid and CPR if necessary.
6. Communicate with patrons and enforce pool rules to maintain a safe and enjoyable experience for all.
7. Assist in developing and implementing safety protocols and emergency action plans.
8. Coordinate and schedule lifeguards for shifts and special events.
9. Keep accurate records of incidents, accidents, and pool maintenance in accordance with department policies.
10. Serve as a role model for lifeguards by exhibiting a positive and professional attitude at all times.
11. Collaborate with other staff members to ensure a cohesive and efficient work environment.
12. Stay up-to-date on current lifeguarding techniques, procedures, and certifications.
13. Promote a culture of inclusivity and diversity among staff and patrons.
14. Attend regular staff meetings and training sessions as required.
15. Perform other duties as assigned by the Aquatics Manager or Recreation Director.
