  1. Disseminate important information to residents, visitors, and stakeholders through various communication channels such as social media, press releases, and newsletters.
  2. Create and maintain a database of contacts and media outlets for efficient distribution of information.
  3. Collaborate with various departments to gather and verify accurate information for public release.
  4. Monitor news and social media for any mentions or inquiries related to the city and respond in a timely and professional manner.
  5. Assist in the planning and execution of community events and initiatives to promote the city and engage with the public.
  6. Manage and update the city's website with relevant and up-to-date information.
  7. Prepare and distribute press releases, media kits, and other promotional materials.
  8. Monitor and analyze public perception and feedback to make recommendations for improving communication strategies.
  9. Maintain a positive and professional relationship with local media outlets and act as a liaison for media inquiries.
  10. Ensure all communication materials follow the city's branding and messaging guidelines.
  11. Provide excellent customer service to the public, addressing any concerns or inquiries in a timely and courteous manner.
  12. Assist in crisis communication efforts by providing accurate and timely information to the public.
  13. Attend city council meetings and other relevant events to stay informed and gather information for public dissemination.
  14. Stay up-to-date on current events and developments within the city to effectively communicate with the public.
  15. Collaborate with team members to brainstorm and implement innovative communication strategies to engage with the community.
