The City of Jersey City is seeking a highly organized and customer-service oriented individual to join our team as a Legal and Compliance Officer. In this important position, successful candidates will be responsible for providing legal guidance, monitoring compliance with all laws, rules, and regulations, and ensuring the city's compliance with federal, state, and local laws.We are seeking an individual with strong analytical and research skills that possess the ability to develop and implement legal strategies and policies. The ideal candidate will have a legal background and knowledge of the principles, practices, and procedures of municipal law, labor and employment law, civil rights law, and public finance.
