
Building Inspector

- Conduct thorough and accurate inspections of all building construction and renovation projects within the city to ensure compliance with local and state building codes and regulations.
- Identify and document any violations or non-compliance issues and work with property owners and construction teams to resolve them in a timely manner.
- Review building plans and blueprints to ensure they meet all necessary requirements and standards.
- Provide guidance and support to contractors, architects, and property owners regarding building codes and regulations.
- Maintain detailed records of all inspections, violations, and corrective actions taken.
- Communicate effectively with city officials, residents, and other stakeholders to address any concerns or questions related to building codes and regulations.
- Stay up-to-date with any changes or updates to building codes and regulations and ensure they are properly implemented.
- Conduct thorough investigations and follow-up inspections to ensure compliance with corrective actions.
- Collaborate with other city departments and agencies to coordinate and align building inspections with other related processes and procedures.
- Uphold the highest standards of safety and quality in all building inspections and enforcement actions.
Bachelor's Degree In Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Or Related Field.
Minimum Of 3 Years Of Experience In Building Construction, Inspection, Or Code Enforcement.
Knowledge Of Local, State, And Federal Building Codes, Regulations, And Standards.
Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills With The Ability To Interpret Complex Technical Information.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Interact With Contractors, Property Owners, And Other Stakeholders.
