  1. Conduct research and analyze data to identify traffic concerns and develop solutions for improving traffic flow and safety.
  2. Collaborate with other city departments and agencies to develop and implement transportation plans and projects.
  3. Conduct traffic impact studies for new developments and make recommendations for traffic mitigation measures.
  4. Review and approve traffic plans and designs for new construction and road projects.
  5. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of traffic control devices and make recommendations for improvements.
  6. Provide technical expertise and guidance to city officials and community members on traffic engineering matters.
  7. Stay up-to-date on current traffic laws and regulations and ensure compliance in all transportation projects.
  8. Prepare and present reports and presentations on traffic engineering projects and initiatives.
  9. Manage and maintain traffic flow data and utilize traffic simulation software to forecast future traffic patterns.
  10. Work with city planners and engineers to incorporate transportation considerations into urban development plans.
  11. Oversee the installation and maintenance of traffic control devices, including traffic signals, signage, and pavement markings.
  12. Train and supervise junior traffic engineering staff.
  13. Foster positive relationships with community members and stakeholders through effective communication and collaboration.
  14. Continuously seek opportunities to improve transportation systems and processes in the city.
  15. Actively participate in professional development and stay current with industry trends and advancements in traffic engineering.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Civil Engineering Or Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 2-3 Years Of Experience In Traffic Engineering Or Transportation Planning.

  • Proficiency In Relevant Software And Tools, Such As Autocad, Synchro, And Gis.
