
Assistant Traffic Engineer
The City of Jersey City is seeking an Assistant Traffic Engineer who will be responsible for performing professional engineering work in the design, operation, and maintenance of traffic control devices. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and organizational skills, a passion for engineering, and a commitment to providing excellent customer service. The successful candidate must possess a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field and at least two years of traffic engineering experience. Professional Engineer (PE) registration is preferred but not required. The Assistant Traffic Engineer must also have knowledge of traffic engineering principles, practices, and techniques, and the ability to use AutoCAD, GIS, and other software programs. The ability to work as part of a team and effectively interact with the public is essential.
