Animal Attendant

1. Provide compassionate care for all animals in the shelter.
2. Ensure the welfare and well-being of all animals in the facility.
3. Assist with daily tasks such as feeding, bathing, and grooming animals.
4. Maintain a clean and sanitary environment for the animals.
5. Monitor the health and behavior of animals and report any concerns to the appropriate staff.
6. Help with the intake and adoption process of animals, including paperwork and handling.
7. Provide basic training and socialization for animals to increase their chances of adoption.
8. Assist with the organization and implementation of community events and adoption drives.
9. Educate the public on responsible pet ownership and the importance of animal welfare.
10. Maintain accurate records of animal care and behavior.
11. Collaborate with other staff members and volunteers to ensure the smooth operation of the shelter.
12. Adhere to all shelter policies and procedures, as well as local and state animal welfare laws.
13. Treat all animals with kindness, respect, and compassion at all times.
14. Continuously seek ways to improve the quality of care and services provided by the shelter.
15. Represent the shelter in a positive and professional manner to the public and media.
16. Be available to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, to ensure adequate coverage for the animals.
17. Attend staff meetings and training sessions as required.
18. Perform other duties as assigned by the Shelter Manager.
