  1. Lead and manage a team of civil engineers to ensure successful completion of projects within budget and on schedule.
  2. Develop and implement innovative solutions for complex civil engineering projects that align with the city's goals and objectives.
  3. Collaborate with various departments and stakeholders to identify project needs and requirements.
  4. Conduct research and analysis to evaluate the feasibility and effectiveness of proposed engineering solutions.
  5. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, codes, and standards in the design and construction of projects.
  6. Prepare and review technical reports, proposals, and project plans.
  7. Provide technical expertise and guidance to junior engineers and staff.
  8. Monitor project progress and make necessary adjustments to ensure quality and efficiency.
  9. Communicate effectively with city officials, contractors, and the public to address any concerns or issues related to projects.
  10. Manage project budgets and resources to ensure efficient and cost-effective use of city funds.
  11. Stay updated on industry trends, advancements, and best practices to continuously improve engineering processes and methods.
  12. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that promotes teamwork and professional growth.
  13. Represent the city at public meetings, conferences, and events related to civil engineering projects.
  14. Ensure all projects adhere to safety protocols and procedures.
  15. Promote and uphold the city's values and mission of creating a sustainable and thriving community.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Civil Engineering Or Related Field From An Accredited University.

  • Minimum Of 10 Years Of Experience In Civil Engineering, With At Least 5 Years In A Leadership Or Managerial Role.

  • Professional Engineering (Pe) License In The State Of California.

  • Extensive Knowledge And Experience In Urban Development, Land-Use Planning, And Infrastructure Design And Construction.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Manage And Lead A Team Of Engineers And Collaborate With Various Stakeholders.
