- Conduct law enforcement activities to maintain the safety and security of the community of Irvine.
- Utilize previous law enforcement experience and skills to effectively perform job duties.
- Respond to emergency and non-emergency calls for service and take appropriate action.
- Conduct thorough investigations and gather evidence to support criminal cases.
- Enforce federal, state, and local laws, ordinances, and regulations.
- Build positive relationships with members of the community to promote trust and cooperation.
- Exercise sound judgment and make quick decisions in high-pressure situations.
- Safely and effectively operate police vehicles, firearms, and other equipment.
- Provide assistance and support to other law enforcement agencies as needed.

- Adhere to department policies and procedures, as well as ethical and legal standards.
- Serve as a role model and ambassador for the City of Irvine and the Police Department.
- Demonstrate physical fitness and mental toughness to effectively perform job duties.
- Maintain a high level of integrity and professionalism in all interactions with the public and fellow officers.
- Continuously strive to improve and excel in job performance.
- Participate in community outreach and education programs to promote public safety.
- Support and uphold the department's mission, vision, and values.
- Collaborate and communicate effectively with team members and other departments.
- Remain calm and composed in stressful situations and provide support to those in need.
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience As A Sworn Police Officer In A Law Enforcement Agency.
Must Be Post (Peace Officer Standards And Training) Certified In The State Of California.
Possess A Valid California Driver's License And Have A Good Driving Record.
Must Pass A Thorough Background Investigation, Including A Polygraph Examination.
Ability To Work A Flexible Schedule, Including Nights, Weekends, And Holidays.
