Job Description

The City of Irvine is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Part-time Community Services Leader II or III for our Great Park and City Side Athletic Operations.   1. Lead and coordinate athletic programs and events at the Great Park and City Side facilities.
  2. Develop and implement strategies to enhance the quality and variety of athletic programs and services offered.
  3. Collaborate with other city departments, community organizations, and volunteers to ensure successful implementation of programs and events.
  4. Manage and supervise a team of staff and volunteers, providing guidance and support to ensure a positive and inclusive environment for all participants.
  5. Conduct program evaluations and gather feedback to continuously improve and meet community needs.
  6. Maintain accurate records and prepare reports on program participation, revenue, and expenses.
  7. Ensure compliance with safety guidelines and protocols for all programs and events.
  8. Assist with budget planning and resource allocation for the department.
  9. Develop and maintain positive relationships with program participants, parents, and community members.
  10. Communicate effectively with all stakeholders, including staff, volunteers, participants, and the general public.
  11. Stay current on industry trends and best practices to enhance program offerings.
  12. Represent the City of Irvine and its values in a professional and positive manner at all times.
  13. Uphold the mission and vision of the City of Irvine and the Community Services department.
  14. Other duties as assigned by the Community Services Supervisor.

Job Qualifications
  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Community Service Or Athletic Operations, With A Strong Understanding Of Program Planning And Management.

  • Bachelor's Degree In Recreation, Sports Management, Or A Related Field.

  • Knowledge And Experience In Budgeting, Financial Management, And Contract Negotiation.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Lead And Motivate A Diverse Team.

  • Strong Organizational Skills And Attention To Detail, With The Ability To Manage Multiple Tasks And Projects Simultaneously.
