Job Description

Welcome to the City of Irvine, where we strive to create a vibrant and engaged community for all. We are seeking a High School Youth Action Team Representative to join our team and help make a positive impact on the city's youth. As a representative, you will have the opportunity to work closely with our dynamic Youth Action Team and play a key role in shaping the future of Irvine. We are looking for a passionate and driven individual with a strong understanding of the needs and interests of high school students.   1. Collaborate with the Youth Action Team to develop and implement initiatives that address the needs and interests of high school students in Irvine.
  2. Act as a liaison between the City of Irvine and the high school community, building relationships and fostering open communication.
  3. Research and identify relevant issues and concerns facing high school students in Irvine, and bring them to the attention of the Youth Action Team.
  4. Organize and lead meetings, events, and workshops for high school students to promote civic engagement and community involvement.
  5. Represent the City of Irvine at various events and meetings with other youth organizations and community stakeholders.
  6. Develop and maintain a strong social media presence to engage with high school students and promote the Youth Action Team's initiatives.
  7. Collaborate with other city departments and community organizations to coordinate resources and support for youth-related programs and events.
  8. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of programs and initiatives, and make recommendations for improvements.
  9. Act as a positive role model for high school students, promoting responsible decision-making and leadership skills.
  10. Keep accurate records of activities, attendance, and participation of high school students in Youth Action Team programs and events.
