In this role, you will have the unique opportunity to plan, develop, and implement various community programs and events that enrich the lives of our citizens. As a key member of our community services team, you will use your creativity, leadership skills, and passion for helping others to make a difference in the lives of those around you. If you have a Bachelor's degree in a related field and at least 2 years of experience in program coordination, we want to hear from you!   1. Plan, develop, and implement various community programs and events that align with the City of Irvine's mission and goals.
  2. Collaborate with internal departments and external partners to ensure the success of community programs and events.
  3. Utilize creativity and innovative thinking to create new and engaging programs that meet the needs and interests of the community.
  4. Develop and manage program budgets, including seeking out and securing funding opportunities.
  5. Coordinate and oversee logistics, such as venue reservations, equipment rentals, and vendor contracts.
  6. Recruit, train, and supervise staff and volunteers to assist with program and event execution.
  7. Communicate effectively with community members and stakeholders to promote and gather feedback on programs and events.
  8. Monitor program attendance and collect data to evaluate the success and impact of programs.
  9. Continuously assess and adjust programs to meet the changing needs and interests of the community.
  10. Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in community programming to ensure the City of Irvine remains a leader in this field.
  11. Represent the City of Irvine at community events and meetings to promote programs and build relationships.
  12. Adhere to all safety and risk management protocols while planning and executing programs and events.
  13. Collaborate with marketing and communications teams to develop and distribute promotional materials for programs and events.
  14. Maintain accurate records and documentation related to programs, including attendance, evaluations, and budget reports.
  15. Take on additional responsibilities and tasks as needed to support the success of community programs and events.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Social Work, Community Development, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 3 Years Of Experience In Community Service Program Coordination Or Management.

  • Knowledge Of Local Resources And Services For At-Risk Populations.
