
Civic Center Events & Facility Support

- Coordinate and oversee all aspects of events and activities at the Civic Center, including but not limited to setup, breakdown, vendor coordination, and guest services.
- Ensure that all events and activities adhere to city policies and procedures, as well as any applicable laws and regulations.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors, partners, and other stakeholders to ensure successful and seamless event execution.
- Collaborate with other city departments and staff to ensure proper coordination and communication for all events and activities.
- Keep accurate records of event details, including attendance, revenue, and any issues or incidents that may arise.
- Work closely with the marketing team to promote events and activities, and assist with creating and distributing marketing materials.
- Provide exceptional customer service to all visitors, responding to inquiries and addressing any concerns or issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Assist with facility and equipment maintenance and upkeep, ensuring that all areas are clean, safe, and functional for events and activities.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to continuously improve event planning and execution.
- Attend and participate in meetings and training sessions as required.
- Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Minimum Of A High School Education Is Required For This Position, With Preference Given To Candidates With Post-Secondary Education Or Training In A Related Field.
Customer Service Experience: The Ideal Candidate Should Have Prior Experience In A Customer Service Role, Preferably In A Fast-Paced Environment. This Position Requires Interacting With A Diverse Group Of Individuals, Including Event Organizers, Vendors, And The General Public.
Event Management Experience: Previous Experience In Event Management Or Coordination Is Highly Desirable For This Role. The Candidate Should Have Knowledge Of Event Planning, Logistics, And Coordination To Assist In The Successful Execution Of Events At The Civic Center.
Physical Ability: This Position Involves Performing Physical Tasks Such As Setting Up And Breaking Down Event Equipment, Lifting And Moving Heavy Objects, And Standing For Extended Periods. Candidates Should Be Physically Fit And Able To Perform These Tasks With Ease.
Strong Communication And Organizational Skills: Excellent Communication And Organizational Skills Are Essential For This Position. The Candidate Must Be Able To Communicate Effectively With Colleagues And Event Organizers, As Well As Maintain Detailed Records And Schedules For Events. Knowledge Of Office Software And Systems Is Also Preferred.
