- Develop and implement strategic plans and initiatives to promote health and wellness within the City of Irvine.
- Collaborate with various departments and community organizations to identify and address health and wellness needs of residents.
- Conduct research and analysis to stay informed about current public health trends and best practices.
- Create and manage budgets for health and wellness programs and initiatives.
- Oversee the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to health and wellness.
- Provide leadership and direction to a team of health and wellness professionals.
- Establish and maintain partnerships with local healthcare providers and organizations to enhance community health resources.
- Develop and implement educational programs and campaigns to raise awareness and promote healthy behaviors.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of health and wellness programs and make recommendations for improvements.
- Serve as a liaison with government agencies and community stakeholders to advocate for and promote public health policies and initiatives.
- Develop and maintain relationships with media outlets to effectively communicate health and wellness initiatives to the public.
- Stay up-to-date on relevant laws and regulations related to public health and ensure compliance within the city.
- Represent the city at conferences, meetings, and other events related to public health and wellness.
- Foster a positive and inclusive work environment that promotes teamwork, collaboration, and professional development.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the city manager or city council.
Extensive Experience In Health And Wellness Management - A Chief Health And Wellness Officer At City Of Irvine Should Have A Minimum Of 10 Years Of Experience In A Leadership Role In The Health And Wellness Industry. This Experience Should Include Managing Health And Wellness Programs, Developing Strategies, And Leading A Team.
Strong Knowledge Of Public Health And Wellness Policies - The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of Local, State, And Federal Health And Wellness Policies And Regulations. They Should Be Able To Apply This Knowledge To Develop And Implement Effective Health And Wellness Programs For The City Of Irvine.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills - As A Leader In The Health And Wellness Department, The Chief Health And Wellness Officer Will Be Responsible For Collaborating With Other Departments, Community Organizations, And Stakeholders.
