Job Description

This is a great opportunity to perform entry-level engineering tasks within the Building and Safety division.

  • Perform plan reviews of single and multi-story buildings/structures for commercial, industrial, and residential developments.
  • Review building plans, calculations, and reports for compliance with local ordinances and the California Building codes, including disabled access and green building standards.
  • Collaborate and build relationships with City staff, community stakeholders, residents, architects, engineers and outside agencies.
  • Investigate problems and recommend appropriate solutions.

Job Qualifications

  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment

  • Prior Engineering experience is required

  • Bachelors degree or above in Civil Engineering
